Nasib Piriyev speaks out after PAI Capital takeover of West Ham collapses
Nasib Piriyev hopes PAI Capital’s interest in West Ham has been beneficial for the club after they essentially ended their interest.
It emerged on Thursday afternoon that the investment company had pretty much given up all hope of buying the Irons [Evening Standard].
They state that they had made a second offer for the club, but it had been rejected, with David Sullivan informing them that it was not the right time to sell with the team performing well.
Piriyev then followed that up with this bizarre statement [Jack Rosser].
He said: “I hope that our interest has been healthy for the club.”
Finally, the end.
PAI Capital looked very dodgy from pretty much the off as they tried to do everything in public in an effort to put pressure on Sullivan and David Gold.
However, the Hammers are adamant a second offer never arrived and that they had no intention of selling the club to this group.
PAI tried everything they could in public by recruiting former Hammers players and tweeting about their latest plans.

It was all just a bit odd, and something never felt right about any of it, and now it seems as if the deal is dead, and we can all move on.
Hopefully, the current owners sell soon, but this never felt like a realistic takeover, and we can all move on and focus on matters on the pitch.
There will be a buyer for the Irons one day, but we are glad that it appears as if PAI are out of the picture.
In other West Ham news, PAI Capital have ended their pursuit of the Irons.
