Napoli hoping to beat Torino to sign West Ham midfielder Nikola Vlasic
Napoli are hoping to beat Serie A rivals Torino to sign West Ham United midfielder Nikola Vlasic this summer, according to 90min.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the London Stadium and it was reported earlier that the Turin-based outfit are hoping to secure a deal to bring the attacking midfielder to the club with the meeting between officials expected on Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, as per the latest report, the Naples-based outfit are optimistic about beating Torino to sign the Croatia international on loan in the ongoing transfer window.

Time to move on
Vlasic’s time at the London Stadium has been nothing short of a disaster as he arrived with a big reputation.
Ever since completing his move to West Ham in the summer of 2021 from CSKA Moscow for a reported fee of £27 million, the attacking midfielder only managed to score one goal and provided three assists in 36 matches across all competitions [Transfermarkt].
Those numbers were never going to be enough to convince manager David Moyes which is why his time in London is coming to an end.

His departure will also give the Irons a much-needed breathing space in the transfer window where they’ve been looking to add players in a number of positions.
In all honesty, it is time that they must focus on strengthening the midfield department where there is a clear lack of bodies, especially in the category of box-to-box midfielder where there is only Flynn Downes who has recently joined from Championship side Swansea [Transfermarkt].
