Moyes shares ‘satisfying’ Manchester United return as West Ham manager
West Ham boss David Moyes has revealed the ‘satisfying’ nature in which he will return to Old Trafford on Saturday (January 22).
The Scot will be looking to restore pride after being sacked after a mere ten months in charge in Manchester in 2014.
The Hammers sit in fourth place with the clash being vital in their pursuit of Champions League football next season.

Speaking in his pre-Manchester United press conference Moyes said: “It’s satisfying because there are not many managers who go to Old Trafford with their team ahead of them.
“I’m pleased we’re ahead of them but what matters is three points and if we’re ahead of them at the end of the season.
“I think if you lose your job at Manchester United it makes news throughout the world. It was part of it, I was happy to be offered the job. I wish I could have done a bit better.”

New man
Moyes will have an extra incentive to go to Old Trafford and win after his horrific spell managing Manchester United.
Only now, eight years later does the 58-year-old look to have found himself after his United departure knocked his confidence.
It came as a shock for many Hammers when he was appointed for a second spell at the club after failed stints at Real Sociedad, Sunderland and obviously West Ham but near two-year break did Moyes the world of good.
He looks like a completely different manager from his first spell at the London Stadium and the team’s performance is proving that.
The Irons are in the form of their lives: reaching the Europa League knockout stages, challenging for a Champions League place, disappointingly going out in the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup and still in the FA Cup.
Moyes has been a revolution since rejoining in 2019 and thank god he did.
Hopefully the team can repay him on the weekend by getting one over on his former employers.
In other Hammers news, Moyes’ trust in youth players brings Premier League backlash for West Ham.
