Most skillful West Ham player revealed by Stuart Pearce
West Ham United first-team coach Stuart Pearce has revealed all on the Hammers senior stars and his choice for most skillful may come as a surprise.
Speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast on Tuesday (25 January), Pearce claimed that it isn’t the informed Jarrod Bowen or the England star Declan Rice who have the most skill, but instead two unsung heroes.
‘Psycho’ believes that along with tricky Argentine Manuel Lanzini, Andriy Yarmolenko has the best tekkers in the team but only Lanzini has been a regular this season.

“That’ll be between Yarmo and Manu Lanzini,” Pearce said, “Yarmo puts a trick on everything, even the most mundane things there’s a little stepover.
“We absolutely love it.”
Less is more
You might be wondering why the most skillful player at the club, supposedly, isn’t anywhere near David Moyes’ starting XI.

It’s not a bad question really as the Ukrainian has always shown the potential for a world-class performance without ever getting there.
His individual quality on the ball shines through when he plays for his national team but he has never managed to put it all together for the Irons.
The form of Bowen certainly has;t helped the predominantly right-sided Yarmolenko however and there is no incentive for Moyes to drop him because of a stepover on the training pitch.
For West Ham’s sake, the Ukrainian needs to either produce more in the final third when he does get his rare chance or be sold to make room for new additions to the squad.
What was a good idea at the time has turned into a lingering bad effect that needs to be changed.
In other West Ham news, this player’s new deal could be on a lower wage than he is on currently,
