Mohammed Kudus tipped to become one of the best signings of the David Moyes era at West Ham
West Ham recently announced the signing of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus, who could be “the next big thing”, according to journalist Paul Brown.
The Hammers announced that they had completed the signing of the 23-year-old from Ajax via the club’s official Twitter page (27 August).
It marked David Moyes’ fourth summer signing, following the arrivals of James Ward-Prowse, Edson Alvarez and Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Brown believes not only could he be the best signing of the summer, Kudus could become the club’s best signing of Moyes’ tenure.
“I really like Kudus. I think he’s potentially the next big thing. Brighton were trying to sign him and clearly thought he was the next Moises Caicedo. So, that’s a pretty good recommendation in itself as their scouting department has had quite big success over the last few years,” Brown told GIVEMESPORT (29 August).
“If he’s successful at West Ham, he could become one of the best signings of the Moyes era, undoubtedly yes.”
Exciting
If supporters at the London Stadium weren’t already excited enough about the brilliant addition of the productive attacking midfielder, Brown’s comments will certainly give them cause for optimism. Kudus was a standout player for Ajax last season, scoring 18 times and providing seven assists in all competitions.
Plenty of top European sides had been after his signature this summer and that will provide Moyes with confidence that he has perhaps landed one of the continent’s most exciting young talents. If the 23-year-old can bring his form from the Netherlands to the Premier League, he could be a force to be reckoned with.

With the additions of Ward-Prowse and Alvarez, as well as the increasing likelihood that they will be able to keep hold of Lucas Paqeuta this summer, it appears that the East London outfit could have a better overall midfield this season, despite the loss of captain Declan Rice.
Exciting times ahead.
In other West Ham news, one exit at the club won’t be sanctioned until a replacement is brought in.
