Mohammed Kudus sources speak out on Julen Lopetegui incident at West Ham United
Mohammed Kudus’ inner circle have denied that he and Julen Lopetegui had to be separated as West Ham drew 1-1 against Brentford, according to The Athletic.
The news outlet reported that the Ghana international and his manager were in a bust-up following his half-time substitution at the GTECH Community Stadium on 28 September.
Since news first emerged of the clash, matters have since been resolved with club insiders even saying that the entire situation was blown out of proportion.
West Ham United incident with Mohammed Kudus
Kudus was one of, if not the best player within West Ham’s squad last season.
The Ghanaian formed a rather clinical partnership with Jarrod Bowen that saw the pair carry the club to a ninth-placed finish in the Premier League.
Although David Moyes was dismissed from his duties for Lopetegui at the end of the season, there’s no denying the impact that Kudus and Bowen had on the Hammers.
The fact that Lopetegui has already been given a three-game ultimatum says all you need to know about which side the Hammers would choose if the incident was bigger than what it was [GiveMeSport, 24 September].
Things have since been resolved between the pair but this hasn’t stopped managers being linked with the Hammers hot seat.

However, the fact that David Sullivan doesn’t have a clear candidate lined up to take over from the Spaniard seems to have made his job safe for now [Dean Jones, 1 October].
Lopetegui needs to turn things around soon otherwise things could get rather hairy for him as the season enters its latter stages.
