Mohammed Kudus suspension update emerges after West Ham United red card v Tottenham
West Ham could be without Mohammed Kudus for a further three matches after the West Ham star was sent off against Tottenham, according to TBR Football.
The online source reported [2 November] that the Ghanian was handed a three-match ban for violent conduct during the 4-1 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, of which he has already served one.
It is understood that the Hammers are now expecting another two-match ban on top of the original punishment, though this could rise to three, which will be decided by The FA early next week.
This could see Kudus miss Premier League clashes against Newcastle United, Arsenal and Leicester City.
Mohammed Kudus set for further punishment after West Ham United meltdown v Tottenham
The Hammers can do little to argue against the player’s actions during the disappointing defeat to Spurs, having lashed out at Micky van de Ven purely out of frustration.
While the last thing Julen Lopetegui needed was a red card to one of his most dangerous players, the controversy has handed Crysencio Summerville a brilliant chance to prove himself.
Despite this, the former Leeds United man was ignored ahead of the Manchester United clash, with Carlos Soler given the nod instead, but Summerville was quick to prove his manager wrong after coming on at half-time.
Lopetegui and Kudus will have already had talks behind the scenes, but as long as the player continues serving his suspension, the manager will remain under pressure.

With Jarrod Bowen, Summerville, Lucas Paqueta and Michail Antonio still leading the line for the Hammers, they have more than enough firepower to claim victories against their upcoming opponents.
While the Hammers’ 2-1 win over Man United was shrouded in controversy due to the penalty winner, Lopetegui’s men have been handed a platform to build upon.
In other West Ham news, the club have approached the staff of a new striker whose exit is seen as “inevitable”.
