West Ham source shares Michail Antonio update

There is no doubt how much of a blow it is for the Irons to lose the forward after an impressive nine years in East London.

The ex-Nottingham Forest man has developed from a utility player under Slaven Bilic to a goalscorer under David Moyes.

Despite his exploits in front of goal in recent years, fans didn’t expect him to have such a telling impact this campaign for Julen Lopetegui.

As a result, it is hugely disappointing for Antonio and everyone associated with the Hammers to have lost the forward in such a freak incident.

After such an event, the Irons won’t care about the footballing side of the Jamaican’s recovery and it will be great news if he makes it home for Christmas.

This would be the first step on the road to recovery at the London Stadium which looks likely to last until part way through the 2025/26 season.
