Michael Owen predicts result of West Ham v Watford
West Ham will be looking to avoid their third straight Premier League defeat in a row when they take on Watford on Tuesday (08 February).
The Hammers are heading into this game on the back of a toiled victory over Kidderminster in the FA Cup, but Michael Owen, while writing for BetVictor, predicts a 2-1 home win.
The football pundit thinks Roy Hodgson will be a good fit for Watford, but the home side holds an advantage here.

Owen has also suggested that the Hammers do not have a huge squad, and they have missed the trick by not signing a striker in January.
He wrote for Bet Victor: “West Ham are obviously having a very good season, but I think David Moyes will have been disappointed by the lack of transfer activity. Another striker is something that he has been wanting for a while and they’ve still not got that. This isn’t a huge squad.
“I’ve got to say, I didn’t see Roy Hodgson going to Watford! It’s a big ask for Roy to come in and stabilise this club but Roy’s seen it all and given time, I think he could do a decent job. Whether that will be enough to keep them up, I’m not sure.
“I fancy West Ham here. I think Watford will show some spirit under Roy Hodgson but West Ham at home, will have too much.”
Poor form
What has just happened to West Ham? Have they run out of ideas? Have they run out of steam?
Obviously, everyone expected that Moyes will add at least one or two players in January. He will bolster the defence and the forward department, but that hasn’t happened.
They looked below par in the FA Cup tie and could have been knocked out had it not been for Declan Rice to save them right at the death.

Could this be the turning point of their season?
After back to back defeats in the league, and teetering on the verge of exit, it needed something special to bring the zeal back.
And who else but Rice to provide that!
Watford are without a win since November, and this is the best time to face them a get back to winning ways in the league.
