Michael Owen hails ‘unbelievable’ West Ham striker Jarrod Bower
Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen believes that West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen has completely changed his style despite being in his mid-20s.
The 25-year-old made his England senior team debut on Saturday in a 1-0 defeat against Hungry.
Talking about his performances in the recent past, Owen was of the opinion that Bowen has turned into an ‘unbelievable’ player.

“Bowen had a fantastic season with West Ham,” he said while talking to Channel 4. “You won’t see many players in the world that completely change their style of play in the mid-20s and turn into unbelievable players.
“The key is his movement. In the recently concluded season, he has gone up to a different level. I love how he moves from out to in”

Making it big
Despite England’s loss against Hungary in the UEFA Nations League, Bowen did show shades of the player that was pulling trees under David Moyes in the recently concluded season.
The English forward scored 12 goals and made 12 assists across 36 appearances in the recently concluded Premier League season. He was involved in 40% of the overall goals scored by David Moyes’ team in the League competition.
Not only that but he was also very important to the team’s success in the Europa League where the Irons suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the semi-finals against eventual champions Eintracht Frankfurt.
Those numbers are the reason why Bowen has been attracting interest from some of the big clubs in England.
Bowen moved to the London Stadium in January 2020 from Championship outfit Hull City in a deal worth £19.17 million.
Since then, he has represented Hammers in 104 matches across all competitions, scoring 27 times and providing 23 assists in the process.
