Michael Carrick to West Ham United update shared amid recent David Moyes sack news

West Ham will not be looking at former Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick to replace David Moyes, according to Claret and Hugh.

The news outlet claims that their “highest source” has revealed that Moyes is under no immediate danger despite recent sack reports and that Carrick, who’s now at Middlesbrough, is not being considered.

The Englishman won the Manager of the Month award in March 2023, but this season, Boro’s performances have been far from impressive.

Too inexperienced

Carrick’s association with West Ham and his decorated playing career may make him an appealing prospect, but the managerial role at the club might currently be too significant for him given his limited experience.

His coaching journey, culminating in managing Middlesbrough in the Championship, doesn’t provide the depth of experience needed to navigate the challenges of a Premier League side.

On the other hand, the scrutiny of Moyes remains justified despite Carrick not being a viable replacement.

Moyes’ tenure has faced criticism, particularly following a 5-0 defeat by Fulham and the recent slump raises questions about his ability to deliver consistent performances and take the side to the next level.

While the Scotsman has brought some stability, there are concerns about his tactical approach, particularly in high-pressure situations.

While Carrick might be an intriguing prospect for the future, Moyes’ position shouldn’t be exempt from scrutiny and in case they are looking for replacements, they’ve got to go for more experienced ones.

In other West Ham news, Aston Villa want to sign an international Hammers player and things aren’t going well for him currently.
