West Ham United have now agreed on personal terms with Burnley winger Maxwel Cornet ahead of his move to the club, according to Fabrice Hawkins.

The RTL France journalist has shared that the Ivorian international is now due in London today to complete his medical and the details of the box-office transfer.

The Irons still need to finalise a few small details with Burnley over the fee, but that should be done quickly with progress expected on Thrusday.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Hawkins shared the news that the blockbuster move is now on the verge of being completed before the end of play today.

“Agreement between Maxwel Cornet and West Ham,” he wrote.

“The Ivorian international will leave Burnley and should join the Hammers. There are still a few details to be settled between the clubs.

“If all goes well, Cornet will be in London today for his medical examination.”

Here We Go.

It is time to get Cornet down to London and get this move finalised.

We have seen far too many West Ham United transfers get to this stage and then seemingly fall away for no real big reason this summer, and that can’t be the case here.

David Moyes will love his versatility given that he can play at left wing-back as well as in the final third, centrally or out wide if needed in those areas.

That is something that we haven’t had for quite some time, and Cornet also comes having proved he can shine in the Premier League with Burnley last season in a struggling side.

After ExWHUemployee had shared that a fee had been agreed on this morning, it looks as though this one has moved very quickly in the hours following.

Now it’s time to finish this one with the medical and clauses no doubt added into the deal, all eyes on that announcement – it is coming.
