Matt Jarvis tips ‘exceptional’ West Ham United trio to be difference makers v Arsenal

Matt Jarvis has tipped the “exceptional” West Ham United trio of Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta to help the Hammers pick up a result against Arsenal.

David Moyes’ side are making the trip across London to the Emirates on Thursday (28 December) in search of a third consecutive Premier League win, but Arsenal know a win would move them above Liverpool to the top of the table.

While the Irons appear to be second favourites in Thursday’s clash, Jarvis has tipped the Hammers attacking players to cause the home side’s defence plenty of problems, labelling West Ham’s strike force “exceptional”.

Speaking on Sky Sports News (28 December) he said: “I think they’ve got a real good chance, obviously away is always a bit more tricky, I think it will be more difficult at the Emirates, they haven’t been particularly great in their last couple of away games West Ham.

“But they seem to produce on the top stage with the players that they have, Paqueta, Kudus, Bowen, these are exceptional, exceptional players and they can really mix it with Arsenal.

“It will be a really difficult game because Arsenal are in form and they’ve got some really top players themselves so I’m expecting to see some goals that’s for sure.”

Exceptional players

Arsenal may be one of the contenders for the Premier League title this season, but West Ham now have some “exceptional” attacking players that will seriously be able to cause the Gunners’ defence some problems.

Kudus has been a breath of fresh air in attack this season and is proving to be an excellent addition to the Hammers’ armoury. His pace and dribbling ability will have the Arsenal backline backpedalling for much of the contest if he gets time on the ball.

West Ham

Bowen has managed to go from strength to strength in attack and is thriving in his new role as a centre-forward and with his goal-scoring touch this season, especially away from the London Stadium, he’ll fancy his chances of finding the net again.

Everybody is aware of the talent Lucas Paqueta has at his disposal and he will play a huge part in Thursday’s clash. West Ham have quite quickly assembled an attacking squad capable of mixing it with the Premier League’s big boys.
