Mark Noble appointment mooted at West Ham after possible Lopetegui sack
Jamie O’Hara has named Mark Noble as a potential short-term replacement for Julen Lopetegui if West Ham decide to sack the Spaniard.
The Hammers’ 3-1 defeat against fellow strugglers Leicester on 3 December provided extra misery and even more pressure on Lopetegui.
It seems only a matter of time before the Irons’ hierarchy act on their poor campaign and sack Lopetegui, with O’Hara keen on the idea of Noble stepping in temporarily.
Speaking on talkSPORT (3 December), he said: “I’d sack him (Lopetegui). Get Mark Noble in there and say listen, lads, this is what we’re about, let’s go and put in a couple of results like Van Nistelrooy did and go from there.”
Jason Cundy reacted immediately, saying: “This is a crucial period.
“We’re entering the busiest time of the Premier League. If you don’t have a manager there, you’re season could fall apart.”
Julen Lopetegui position at West Ham is surely untenable
For a side like West Ham who have a ridiculous amount of quality in their squad, four wins from 14 games is shameful and most of that blame lies with Lopetegui.
His lack of playing identity and seemingly poor player management have severely limited the ability of his players who are severely underperforming as a squad.
Jarrod Bowen, an England goalscorer, is often made to look amateur purely down to the tactics adopted by the Spaniard that simply don’t suit anyone in the side.

The season is still young and West Ham can still attain some form of success but that is only achieved if they act now and sack a manager who is causing them to regress each week.
It’s hard to believe this is largely the same squad that qualified for Europe a few seasons ago with them now looking more likely to be involved in a relegation battle if their form continues.
