Mark Lawrenson predicts result of West Ham United vs Crystal Palace
Mark Lawrenson is backing West Ham to pick up all three points against Crystal Palace when they clash on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
The Hammers suffered a tough defeat to Manchester United last time out in the Premier League, but made it six wins from six with a youthful side in the Europa Conference League in midweek to get back on track.
They now welcome a tricky Palace side to the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon, who Lawrenson told Paddy Power (4 November) are “hit and miss”, before picking West Ham to claim a 2-1 win.

“West Ham were a little bit unlucky at Old Trafford but I think they went for it too late,” he said.
“They’re starting to pick up and Crystal Palace are a bit hit and miss. West Ham 2-1 Crystal Palace.“
Tricky
West Ham have had a tough start to the season in the Premier League, losing seven of the opening 13 games so far.
But the performances have warranted them to be better off than they have been, despite lots of injuries in defence and having to juggle the Europa Conference League too.

Palace are a side who, much like West Ham, have their struggles going forward and can be quite a temperamental side with their form.
If they turn up at their best then it is likely to be a really difficult game, with tricky wingers and in-form attackers running at the defence. The fact that David Moyes was able to rest players in midweek is a huge boost, and now they should take the rewards from that.
With a strong side that are fully rested, the Irons should feel as though they’ve got more than enough to get all three points especially with the stadium rocking and the fans behind him.
