Marcelo Bielsa confirms Leeds starting XI for West Ham clash

Leeds United have confirmed their starting XI two days early for their Premier League clash with West Ham United.

Marcelo Bielsa shared his starting side after being asked if he was going to leave the Hammers guessing ahead of the Elland Road game.

The Whites have an injury crisis, with Diego Llorente and Robin Koch ruled out with fresh injuries picked up against Chelsea.

Bielsa confirmed that he will be making one change, and that is to bring back Rodrigo Moreno to the starting XI.

That will mean a change in system for the Hammers to deal with.

Leeds will be returning to their 4-1-4-1, with Luke Ayling partnering Liam Cooper in the heart of defence – something Sebastien Haller could take advantage of.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will need to be on the top of their games, with Rodrigo joining Mateusz Klich in attacking midfield.

This is how Leeds will line up…

What about West Ham?

Michail Antonio is one player who will be definitely missing at Elland Road after he suffered another hamstring blow against Aston Villa.

Sebastien Haller started against Manchester United, and despite not scoring, he did impress at the London Stadium in the defeat.

Said Benrahma will be fighting for his first Premier League start of the season, and it could be as a lone striker, or in place of Pablo Fornals.

David Moyes now knows the Leeds starting XI, and he will have a couple of days to think about how he can beat that – upper hand to the Irons?
