Manuel Lanzini may replace Said Benrahma for West Ham clash v Leicester

West Ham attacker Manuel Lanzini could come into David Moyes’ playing eleven for Sunday evening’s clash against Leicester City.

According to Claret and Hugh, the “lacklustre” Said Benrahma is expected to be the player who makes way.

The Algerian started the game against Watford and did not perform at a level to Moyes’ liking.

Good move?

Benrahma started the season strongly but after an injury, things haven’t been the same.

His performances have nosedived and it could be down to complacency or the fact that he’s lost the confidence he did when the season began.

Lanzini, who has come off the bench more times than he’s started games, has impressed in his cameos.

Moyes certainly would have been impressed with his performances against Crystal Palace and Leeds United at the start of the year.

Even in the last 30 minutes of the recent Premier League clash, he came off the bench to win Hammers the game against Watford.

West Ham

Starting him against Leicester may be the best idea for Moyes as he would offer something more than Benrahma would.

This side needs that extra spark in the final third and the Argentine could undoubtedly be the man to provide that for them.

Hopefully, some time away from the first team could see Benrahma rediscover his form.
