Manuel Lanzini involved in horror car crash en route to West Ham training - report

West Ham midfielder Manuel Lanzini has survived a horror car crash on Thursday morning, with a source telling The Sun it’s a ‘miracle he’s alive’

The Argentine midfielder was in a chauffeur driven car on the A12 on his way to training when the car flipped over on Thursday morning.

The Sun report that miraculously the 29-year-old walked away completely unharmed and was even able to train later in the day, but a source claimed it was an ‘incredibly near miss’.

The accident is said to have happened at around 14:30 on a dual carriageway while he was en route to training.

Lanzini is expected to be fit and available to play against Everton on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League, despite being involved in the accident.

It’s pretty scary that anyone could be involved in a car crash where the vehicle flips over, and it’s a miracle that he has managed to escape completely unharmed.

While it’s unknown exactly what happened, the fact he was able to continue his journey after being checked out and even trained with the team is obviously a huge boost.

The team are already short in attacking positions with Jarrod Bowen out injured and losing Lanzini would have been a huge blow to the season with such an important week coming up.

Obviously the most important thing is his health so to hear he is fine is excellent news. Now we can turn our attentions to the weekend and hopefully he can turn in a great performance to put it behind him.

Thankfully that’s a possibility because he is completely unharmed, but it shows you just how short and precious life is.
