Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim makes huge West Ham United reveal
Ruben Amorim, who is the new Manchester United manager, has confirmed that he was never really close to joining West Ham.
As quoted by Give Me Sport’s Ben Jacobs, the Portuguese went to England just to meet the owner, but not to negotiate terms about joining the Hammers.

Jacobs wrote on X: “Ruben Amorim confirms he was never close to joining West Ham. ‘I went to England but I didn’t go to negotiate, only to meet the owner. I had made my decision [to stay at Sporting]. If you think I wanted to leave last year, there’s nothing I can do about it’.”
