Manchester United and Manchester City actively pursuing Declan Rice
Contrary to recent reports, Manchester United are actively pursuing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, claims Toby Cudworth.
Last week, ESPN reported that Man United had cooled their interest in the Hammers midfielder and were looking at alternatives.
However, Cudworth, who is a reporter at 90min and a well-versed West Ham correspondent, has stated that he is still very much on the radar of the two Manchester clubs.
Via his personal Twitter account, he wrote, “Lots of Declan Rice chat doing the rounds again – £90m price, interest drop etc.
“Understand Manchester United & Manchester City are still actively pursuing him after glowing reports from scouts, but Dec is just focused on playing and winning games – that won’t change.”
Not good news
The two Manchester sides can offer Rice Champions League football, something he is unlikely to get at the London Stadium.
While he’s been loyal to the Hammers and has never thrown a tantrum when they priced clubs out of a move this summer, his patience may run thin if the clubs continue to actively pursue him in June next year.

The fact that they’re sending scouts to games suggests that their interest is genuine and we won’t be surprised if either of the clubs make a colossal bid for the 22-year-old.
While David Sullivan would not want to sell Rice, a bid close to £100million may be enough for him to change his mind.
He knows that the club is run as a business and saying no to that kind of money may not be the best financial decision.
We’re hoping that Rice continues to ignore this noise as it’s not likely to go away anywhere especially if he keeps performing the way he is.
