Manchester City set to launch move for West Ham ace Declan Rice

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to launch a summer move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.

According to the Daily Mail, they have made contact with the Hammers and asked them to keep them informed about any developments related to the 23-year-old.

That said, the club’s £100million valuation could prove to be a stumbling block for the Citizens.

He stays?

Rice’s future is going to be up in the air once every summer window begins.

He is one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment and his stock is only going to rise.

With Manchester City, they’re set to lose Fernandinho this summer and will need a player to replace him.

In Rice, they will have the complete midfielder who’s still nowhere near his prime.

They’re known to have deep pockets so if they really want the Englishman then they have the tools to go out and secure his services.

Whether or not that happens this summer, remains to be seen, but Rice clearly is going to be in demand for the next few months, at the very least.

David Moyes and the club hierarchy want him to stay but if a record bid is tabled, they could be compelled into cashing in on him.
