Manchester City ace Josko Gvardiol raves over West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus

Manchester City defender Josko Gvardiol has been left gushing over West Ham attacker Mohammed Kudus.

When asked who was the most difficult player to play against last season, the Croatia international mentioned the Ghana wide man.

Kudus even scored a stunning bicycle against the Citizens last season and Gvardiol has tipped him to have another good season.

He said: “If we talk about a player (who was the toughest to play against) then I would like to say, last season that was Kudus.

“I remember the first game, he was on the bench, so he came in for the last 15-20 minutes, he was playing on my side.

“I already was like, ‘Ah he’s quite good. He looks sharp and he’s good on the ball.’

“Then I remember the second game at the end of the season. He scored the bicycle kick.

“He was the one who I struggled the most to play against. I think he’s the one who deserves more attention and I believe this season he’s going to come out and show his quality.”

West Ham ace Mohammed Kudus needs to up his form this season

Kudus presents a formidable challenge on the pitch due to his exceptional dribbling skills and agility.

His ability to complete take-ons at a high rate, coupled with his proficiency in winning duels, makes him a dynamic threat that defenders find hard to contain.

The 24-year-old’s performance against Manchester City, where he scored a memorable bicycle kick, underscores his capability to produce moments of brilliance that can turn games.

However, Kudus needs to improve his consistency and end product, particularly in terms of goals and assists, to truly elevate his game.

This season, the club’s overall performance and Kudus’ integration into the team’s strategy have not been as impactful, suggesting a need for him to adapt more effectively to the tactical demands of the Premier League or refine his decision-making in the final third to maximise his contributions.

Hopefully, he picks things up on the other side of the international break and can go on to achieve great things.
