Man City v West Ham United predicted as supercomputer makes Premier League title forecast
Manchester City have a 75.1 per cent chance of beating West Ham United on the final day of the Premier League season and an 83.7 per cent chance of winning the title, according to Opta Analyst.
West Ham, meanwhile, have been afforded just an eight per cent chance of beating the champions-elect and a draw is rated at only 16.9 per cent.
Should the Hammers avoid defeat at the Etihad Stadium, it would open the door for Arsenal to pip Pep Guardiola’s side to the league title if they can beat Everton at home.
Can West Ham United open the door for a Premier League upset?
With just a 24.9 per cent chance of avoiding defeat, Opta’s supercomputer has given West Ham little chance of affecting the title race and potentially preventing City from claiming an unprecedented fourth consecutive league crown.
However, the Hammers have the added incentive of giving David Moyes a worthy send-off in what will be the final game of his second spell in charge, having delivered the Europa Conference League, regular European football and safety from relegation since joining in late 2019.
The reverse fixture at London Stadium ended 3-1 to the visitors – but West Ham were leading at the break following James Ward-Prowse’s first-half header and did not go behind until the 76th minute, when Bernardo Silva put the Citizens ahead before Erling Haaland added gloss to the scoreline 10 minutes later.

If the Hammers can open the scoring and keep things tight until late on again, perhaps the City machine will show rare signs of nervousness – opening the door for Moyes to end on a high note and perhaps affect the title race.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers have been rejected by Edin Terzic.
