Luke Chadwick blown away by West Ham man Jarrod Bowen

Luke Chadwick has been very impressed with West Ham star Jarrod Bowen and is pleased to see him adding end product to his game.

Speaking to CaughtOffside, the former Irons man lauded the 24-year-old winger for his displays since he moved to the London Stadium.

It seems that Chadwick rates the former Hull City man highly, but he wasn’t convinced that he could make that leap from the Championship to the Premier League so easily.

He said: “Jarrod Bowen was a hugely talented young player at Hull, a regular goal-scorer and top player in the Championship, but you just didn’t know if he could take that to the Premier League.

“It took him a bit of time to settle in, but he’s now performing at a really high level, he’s got the ability to score goals, to assist, and he’s added more work rate to his game.

“I’m sure he’s a player that a lot of the big clubs will be looking at.”

Bowen continues to impress.

This season, the winger has been a key part of David Moyes’ team and has played in 22 games for the Irons in all competitions.

In those appearances, he has scored four goals and provided five assists for the Hammers, which isn’t the best record, but his performances have been consistently strong.

In the Premier League, he averages a WhoScored rating of 7.22 and in the Europa League, it is slightly worse but still good

So, there is a player there who is growing and developing each and every day.

Now, the fact of the matter is there are going to be clubs out there who fancy signing Bowen because he is young, dynamic and fits in with a certain way of playing.

However, if the Irons were to get Champions League football through the Europa League or the Premier League, why would he want to go anywhere?

He probably wouldn’t, and we hope that he stays at the London Stadium no matter what.

In other West Ham news, the Hammers are set to make a move for a new centre-back with a good goalscoring record.
