Lucas Paqueta shares message following West Ham United draw with Bournemouth
Lucas Paqueta has taken to Instagram to share a message after West Ham drew with Bournemouth on Saturday (12 August).
The Hammers were held to a 1-1 draw on the south coast after Jarron Bowen handed them an early second-half lead before Dominic Solanke scored a late equaliser for the Cherries.
The Brazilian, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, posted a picture on Instagram after the match of him in an Irons kit with the caption “First game of the season, may it be blessed”.

Hope
West Ham fans can live in hope that while Paqueta continues to play for the club that there’s a chance he could still be at the London Stadium once the transfer window comes to an end.
While it has been made fairly clear that the 25-year-old does want to make the move to Manchester City, it’s good to see that he respects his contract and isn’t trying to force through a deal by refusing to play.
He hoped for a “blessed” season in his post on Instagram and it’ll be interesting to see where he eventually ends up playing for the majority of the campaign.

The Hammers have so far held firm on the fact that they want to keep hold of the Brazilian and have told the Premier League champions that they will have to pay more than £85million if they want to sign him this summer.
Until that figure is reached and the club manage to get an adequate replacement for him, then we can expect to see him turning out and putting performances in for us for at least the time being.
In other West Ham news, Alan Shearer has reacted to recent transfer developments at the club.
