Lucas Paqueta sends touching message to Newcastle United player after events overnight
West Ham favourite Lucas Paqueta has been in action for Brazil in their World Cup qualifiers.
Paqueta scored in Brazil’s 3-0 win against Chile overnight, as he continued his fine form after a turbulent period of his Hammers career.
It was rumoured that Paqueta asked to leave West Ham, but those reports were put to bed when he imitated a phone and threw it away when celebrating his goal against Nottingham Forest.
Despite such a troubling time, he has still managed to praise others, with the midfielder sending a message to his international teammate.

Lucas Paqueta sends message to Bruno Guimaraes
Paqueta found out the findings of his alleged betting breaches this week, in what has been a difficult two years for the 28-year-old.
He was cleared of any wrongdoing, but is facing allegations that he failed to cooperate with the investigation.
Despite that, he has still carried on his fine form, scoring four in four for the Brazil national team.
Fellow midfielder Bruno Guimaraes also notched in the win against Chile, and posted on Instagram a photo of himself standing next to the corner flag, captioned: “HE IS FAITHFUL! I love you.”
Paqueta commented on the post, saying, “Glory to God friend, I love you, you deserve it,” followed by three heart emojis.

How much longer could Lucas Paqueta have left at West Ham?
Paqueta has constantly been linked with moves away from the Hammers in recent years.
He looked set to join Manchester City in 2023 before allegations of betting breaches were brought forward.
Reports that he had asked to leave this summer left supporters frustrated with the midfielder, but his actions since have been amazing.
However, it still feels that Paqueta should be playing for a top team in Europe and, unfortunately, West Ham isn’t one right now.
This time next summer, the Brazilian will have just one year remaining on his contract, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him leave.
