Lucas Paqueta injury update emerges ahead of West Ham United v Nottingham Forest
West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta has a “better than fifty-fifty chance” to play in the next Premier League game against Nottingham Forest, according to Claret and Hugh.
The Brazilian midfielder appeared to have picked up a shoulder injury against Chelsea and he was ruled out against Tottenham Hotspur, a game the Hammers lost 2-0.
However, it seems that his injury is not so serious, and he is recovering well. The 25-year-old midfielder now has got an outside chance to play against Forest.

“The Brazilian attacking midfielder looked to be enjoying himself more and more as the games progressed and hopefully he will be fit to play against Forest,” wrote Claret and Hugh.
“The latest word is he has a better than fifty fifty chance and should he be involved I for one will be tipping us to win this critical game.”
Huge boost
Let’s hope, Paqueta can return quickly, and it will be a massive boost for the club if he manages to make the bench even for the next game.
Paqueta joined the club in the summer from Lyon on a club-record fee, and he hasn’t been able to justify his price tag. He has only shown flashes of brilliance so far, but the quality is undeniable.
The Brazilian looked in good form in recent matches and forged a strong midfield partnership alongside Declan Rice. He is a versatile midfielder but Moyes feels that he could be best used playing in central midfield in a box-to-box role.

The Hammers boss is under a lot of pressure at the moment. Another home defeat could his job under serious threat, although the Hammers are ready to keep faith in him for the time being.
Having said that, with the money they’ve spent, both in the summer and winter, the Hammers should not be in the position they’re in right now.
It’s a must-win game against Forest, and let’s hope Paqueta can return to the starting line-up.
