Liverpool weigh up £5m January swoop for West Ham target Fabio Carvalho

Liverpool are weighing up a £5million January swoop for West Ham target and Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho, according to the Sun.

The 19-year-old has only six months left on his deal at Craven Cottage and it’s understood that he’s keen on leaving the club.

His brother, who also represents him, has been in touch with super-agent Jorge Mendes as the teenager is looking to make the step up in his career.

The Hammers are believed to be ‘prepared to pounce’ and snap up the teenager’s services.

While the Hammers need a number nine and Carvalho is predominantly a number 10, he is a signing they must consider.

The 19-year-old has an extremely high ceiling and could reach it playing week in and week out for West Ham.

At Liverpool, he will not get the kind of game time he desires, but at the London Stadium, David Moyes could slowly integrate him into the starting eleven.

Carvalho is like Jesse Lingard in many ways and is known for his deft runs off the ball.

In front of goal, he’s proven to be extremely lethal as well and he could be converted into an out-and-out number nine as well.

The next few days are key as clubs may tend to wait until the end of the season and sign him on a free rather than shell out a transfer fee in January.
