Liverpool v West Ham United result predicted by supercomputer
West Ham United are set for their toughest trip yet this season, as they travel to Anfield to face Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Liverpool are 11 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, and as they are out of every other competition, their full focus will be on their title charge.
West Ham have little to play for but pride, but 17th-placed Wolves are slowly catching up with the Hammers, and more poor results could see the club drop further down the table.
Arne Slot’s team fell to their second league defeat of the season against Fulham last time out, and West Ham will be hoping to pile on the misery.

Liverpool backed to beat West Ham
Despite Liverpool’s defeat last time out, they have been backed to beat Graham Potter’s side at Anfield.
Opta’s supercomputer has now predicted that Liverpool have a 69.1 per cent chance of victory, with a draw backed at 17.2 per cent.
Opposition | Home/away |
Liverpool | Away |
Southampton | Home |
Brighton | Away |
Tottenham | Home |
Man United | Away |
This has given West Ham just a 13.8 per cent chance of victory, with the Hammers well up against it at the home of the Premier League leaders.
West Ham drew 2-2 with Bournemouth in their last game, and need a win soon to lift the otherwise low morale around the club.

West Ham’s record at Anfield
It has been nearly 10 years since West Ham last beat Liverpool away from home, with Slaven Bilic recording an astonishing 3-0 win in August 2015.
West Ham beat Liverpool once since, with a 3-2 victory in November 2021, but results have otherwise been poor against The Reds.
Potter may take some confidence from the fact his side recorded a shock 1-0 victory at Arsenal in February, but with Liverpool itching to get back to winning ways, it could be a long day for his team.
It has been a bitterly disappointing season for West Ham, who entered the campaign with high expectations, and another campaign without European football is set to follow despite winning the Europa Conference League in 2023.
