Liverpool told to sell Mohamed Salah in £80million deal after West Ham United incident
Ray Parlour has told Liverpool they should “take the money” if an £80million bid arrives for Mohamed Salah in the wake of his clash with Jurgen Klopp in the 2-2 draw against West Ham.
Parlour said that he could see the Egyptian leaving Anfield this summer in a move to Saudi Arabia where clubs had previously expressed their interest.
The former Arsenal midfielder also explained that the incident should not have taken place on the side of the London Stadium pitch, telling Salah to accept his manager’s decisions.
Speaking live on talkSPORT [29 April, 07:27], Parlour shared: “I can see Salah moving on as well, in the summer. I can see Saudis will come back in and say there’s the money, take it, and Liverpool might be happy with that. Take the money.
“If he’s going to sign a new contract then keep him because he’s such a fantastic player, but if he’s not going to sign, you take £80million surely.
“The players have got all the power now. There’s a time for everybody when they lose big players and I’m sure if he did go to Saudi Arabia he’d score at least one goal every game.
“There must be a problem somewhere along the line but you’ve got to accept the manager making big decisions. I do believe any argument you have should be in the dressing room after the game.”
Ray Parlour tips Mohamed Salah to quit Liverpool after West Ham incident
This has all emerged following a bust-up between Salah and Klopp on the side of the pitch which was caught by TV cameras, as Jamie Carragher insisted it would have been due to the substitute not being ready in time to make an impact.
Frustrations at Liverpool are sky-high as things stand, with an awful run of form during which they have taken just eight points from a possible 18 costing them their position in the title race as Arsenal and Manchester City continue to battle.
West Ham took a point from the 2-2 draw thanks to a “brilliant” header from Michail Antonio, but they are dealing with frustrations of their own having won just four times since the turn of the year, ramping up the pressure on David Moyes.

With speculation swirling about the manager’s future at the London Stadium just as it is at Anfield, although with slightly less certainty in East London, it looks set to be a turbulent summer by all accounts across the Premier League.
In other West Ham news, a “really sad” Klopp verdict has emerged after the 2-2 draw.
