Leicester City ready to move for West Ham United defender Craig Dawson
Leicester City are “ready to rival” Aston Villa to sign West Ham defender Craig Dawson, as per Alan Nixon.
The Sun journalist wrote on his Patreon on 30 August that the Foxes have made enquiries about signing the defender as they see him as a potential replacement for Wesley Fofana.
The Hammers have already turned down a move from Villa, but they are aware that the defender could be looking for a long-term contract at this stage of his career.

David Moyes has been actively looking for replacements in the last 24 hours, which gives encouragement to all potential suitors. They are looking to bring someone on loan.
Likely
Moyes has said in the press conference on Tuesday (30 August), as relayed by Jonty Colman that he has held talks with Dawson.
It’s not clear what the situation is at the moment, but chances are high that the player could be allowed to leave if West Ham find a replacement, even on loan.
The Hammers have bolstered their defence this summer. They have added Thilo Kehrer and Nayef Aguerd, but at the same time, they have allowed Issa Diop to move on as well.

With Angelo Ogbonna still around, Dawson may drop down the pecking order at the club. He might fancy a move elsewhere, and the last 48 hours could get very interesting.
Dawson was superb last season for the Hammers. When Kurt Zouma and Ogbonna got injured, he was the one who stood out as a leading figure for the club in the face of crisis.
Moyes won’t mind having him in the squad, but his departure can’t be ruled out.
