Leicester agree £15m deal to sign West Ham target Jannik Vestergaard

Leicester have reportedly agreed a £15million deal with Southampton to sign West Ham target Jannik Vestergaard.

According to The Telegraph, the Premier League side are scheduled to discuss personal terms with the Foxes and he is understood to be looking for a way out of St. Mary’s this summer.

The same publication reported about West Ham’s interest in the 29-year-old Danish centre-back, but stated that Fiorentina’s Nikola Milenkovic was still their first-choice option.

Per TuttoMercatoWeb, we’re understood to be closing in on a move for Milenkovic for a fee not too dissimilar to what Leicester are paying for a defender who’s six years older and arguably not as good as the Serbian defender.

Milenkovic, in many ways, is the perfect fit for David Moyes and is the man who should strengthen our defence and make us look like a more organised side.

The 23-year-old is not just a full international but has already made close to 30 appearances for his national side, which is remarkable for a player of his age.

We’ve got a solid-looking core in Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop, but for us to reach the next level, we’ve got to attract and sign better players and Milenkovic will check that box.

At 23, he’s already proven how good he can be and we’re sure that five years hence he’s going to be one of the best central defenders in the league if he continues to progress at the same level he has over the last two seasons.

Hopefully, we can get his signing over the line as soon as possible and then try roping in a striker as soon as possible.
