Kris Boyd wowed by what Ward-Prowse did in West Ham v Bournemouth
James Ward-Prowse made his 17th Premier League appearance of the season as West Ham took on Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Hammers suffered a 1-0 defeat at Wolves on Tuesday courtesy of Jorgen Strand Larsen’s deflected effort.
After that setback at Molineux, the Hammers could not find a reply despite making five second-half substitutions.
Matters were looking up for Graham Potter’s side when they earned back-to-back wins over Arsenal and Leicester in February, but the London club went on to endure a winless March.

The Hammers had a key opportunity to open the scoring at the London Stadium when they were handed a free-kick in the first half.

Kris Boyd was impressed by Ward Prowse’s set-piece delivery and told Sky Sports News [15:20]: “Ward-Prowse, we know what he’s like, bang on the money again.
“Tried to get it in between the defence.
“Jarrod Bowen was probably going to head it in the back of the net (if Kepa didn’t catch the ball).
“It was a great free-kick in.”

A tough test lies ahead for West Ham
After their clash with Bournemouth on Saturday, Potter and Co lock horns with Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday 13 April.
West Ham’s form has taken a turn for the worse since their 2-0 win over Leicester on 27 February, and getting the better of Arne Slot’s men next time around could prove to be a tough ask.
Liverpool successfully bounced back from their Champions League exit and Carabao Cup final defeat last month as they beat Everton 1-0 in Wednesday’s Merseyside Derby.
Slot’s men will also fancy their chances of getting the better of Fulham on Sunday and should head into their encounter with Potter’s men full of confidence.
West Ham have not beaten the Reds since November 2021 when Alisson’s own goal followed by strikes from Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma secured a 3-2 victory for the London Stadium outfit.
But a repeat next weekend appears unlikely, as Slot’s side thrashed the Hammers 5-0 on 29 December.
