Konstantinos Mavropanos spotted in West Ham United training ahead of Bristol City clash in new injury boost
West Ham United have received an injury boost ahead of their FA Cup clash with Bristol City as Konstantinos Mavropanos has been pictured in training, according to Claret and Hugh.
The outlet reported on its website on Monday (15 January) that the Greek defender has been spotted in pictures posted to club channels to ease fears that he would miss the clash at Ashton Gate, having picked up an injury in the initial cup tie.
Mavropanos was withdrawn by David Moyes after only 39 minutes having picked up an injury to his rib, however he now appears to be fit for the replay on Tuesday (16 January) having been seen in first team training ahead of the clash.

It comes as a welcome boost to Moyes who is already without Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio because of injury, with Mohammed Kudus and Nayef Aguerd absent for the foreseeable future as they compete at the AFCON.
Good news
West Ham supporters must have waiting for a bit of good injury news to come their way and while they would have likely preferred to hear that one of Bowen or Paqueta had made a quick recovery, the return of Mavropanos is a huge boost.
The Greek defender has impressed since arriving at the London Stadium this summer and while both Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna are able to play in his absence, the Hammers would likely to prefer to start Mavropanos at Ashton Gate.

Moyes’ side will be hoping that they can avoid an early cup exit having been held by Bristol City in the first leg, but they will have to improve from their display at the London Stadium, as they afforded the Robins too much space in the initial 90 minutes.
Hopefully, they’ll have enough to get past their Championship opposition and book their place in the fourth round so that attention and focus can instead turn to their Premier League clash against Sheffield United.
