Kieran Maguire: West Ham can spend £71million on transfers under FFP rules

West Ham United will be able to spend up to £71million in a rolling three-year period and meet Financial Fair Play limits, according to Kieran Maguire.

The finance expert has shared his findings with the Daily Mail, revealing lucrative commercial deals would help expand the allowable expenditure.

West Ham spent £63million in the summer, bringing in Nikola Vlasic and Kurt Zouma while signing Alex Kral and Alphonse Areola, and they have hit the ground running in 2021-22, surpassing the expectations of many.

More funds incoming?

Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky recently completed the purchase of a 27 per cent stake in the club, and with that should come some additional squad investment.

David Moyes has hardly splashed the cash at the London Stadium, always getting decent and affordable deals done.

At the moment, West Ham are not at the risk of breaking FFP rules, and fans have nothing to worry about.

While David Sullivan and David Gold have not broken the bank to back the manager, things could be different if Kretinsky completes a major takeover in the future.

Despite spending little compared to other clubs, Moyes has been able to turn the club into a force to reckon with home and abroad this season, putting the team in strong contention for major silverware.

With more money to spend, fans can definitely dream big, and the arrival of Kretinsky could soon change the fortunes of West Ham on and off the pitch.

The Hammers have the potential to become Premier League contenders, and the addition of two or three quality players can get them closer to the dream.

In other West Ham news, ExWHUemployee has claimed Kretinsky could see Hammers sign extraordinary int’l striker.
