Kidderminster boss Russ Penn shares what he’s told squad about West Ham and Declan Rice
Kidderminster boss Russ Penn has shared an insight into his squad meeting on the West Ham United squad this week.
The Irons travel to Aggborough this afternoon looking to avoid a famous FA Cup upset against the sixth-tier side.
Penn admitted that he told his squad what Declan Rice doesn’t like, and insisted that everyone burst out laughing while analysing such big-name players.

Speaking live on Friday Night Social on BBC Radio 5 Live, Penn shared what he made his squad burst out laughing ahead of the game.
“It’s very hard to go away from what we’re doing,” he said. “We have a presentation of analytics and that was a bit weird, talking about Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek.
“We write down their weaknesses and that was crazy, trying to say that Declan Rice doesn’t like to be turned and run at, and I’m thinking ‘Am I really saying this?’
“We were just laughing.”

Brilliant.
This is the magic of the FA Cup.
Of course, we are hoping that it will be a walk in the park this afternoon and we can score a few goals to get that confidence running up again, but it won’t be that simple.
For Kidderminster, this is their biggest game in years and their players will be putting everything into this one 90 minutes.
Having said that, the quality has to shine through, and given how David Moyes has taken this competition so far, we believe it will.
Penn and his squad deserve to have got this far and to be wowed by hosting the hammers, but it is up to us to take that smile away very quickly, and more importantly, very professionally.
