Karren Brady blames West Ham United fans for David Moyes exit
Karren Brady has blamed West Ham United fans for David Moyes’ exit from the London Stadium.
The Scottish manager took the Hammers to European glory in the Conference League in 2023 but left Stratford just 12 months later and has since been replaced by Julen Lopetegui.
In an interview with The Sun on 16 August, Vice Chairman Brady suggested the fans’ lack of appreciation for Moyes eventually resulted with his departure.
She said: “Without putting words into his mouth, I think he felt very unappreciated by the supporters. He delivered a first major trophy since 1980, a consistent period of domestic success.
“As a result, he found it quite difficult to be turned on so quickly last season when things dipped.”
West Ham fans slammed for David Moyes reaction
It had been no secret that supporters had been growing impatient with the former Manchester United boss and his style of football.
Although it may not have been the most eye-catching, the performances were often effective and secured results across many years.
Coming in off the back of a rough patch at the London Stadium in terms of results and managers, Moyes certainly provided much-needed stability.
He took this a step further by securing regular European football before winning a trophy on the continent against Fiorentina.
Last year was his final season in East London to be replaced by Julen Lopetegui ahead of the latest Premier League campaign.

The Spaniard has overseen an overhaul of his squad over the summer which has certainly caught the eye of Hammers fans and rivals.
There is a lot of optimism ahead of the upcoming season with a fresh face in the dugout but will be strange not to see Moyes on the sidelines.
