Julen Lopetegui sack: Steidten could be next out at West Ham United
Tim Steidten could be next in line for a West Ham United exit as Julen Lopetegui is expected to be dismissed, according to talkSPORT.
The news outlet reported via its website on Monday (6 January) that the decision has been made to sack the Spaniard, although there has yet to be confirmation from the club’s official channels.
However, after The Telegraph (6 January) reported that Steidten would step back from Rush Green and conduct his duties at the London Stadium instead, the talkSPORT report revealed that he was also facing an uncertain future in East London.
West Ham United to sack Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten
It has been a hectic few hours for West Ham supporters.
At first, a report emerged via Claret and Hugh at on Monday that Lopetegui was expected to be relieved of his duties “sooner rather than later”, and a few short hours later, he has apparently been dismissed.
Lopetegui has been hanging on by a thread in East London for months, and should the Hammers confirm the decision to part ways with the boss, there will hardly be any surprise from the supporters.
However, Steidten is now next up to enter the firing line and rightfully so – David Sullivan gifted him a £120million war chest throughout the summer, and he squandered it.
Only Aaron Wan-Bissaka can be considered a worthwhile acquisition from the summer, with even Nice loanee Jean-Clair Todibo failing to live up to his high esteem upon landing at the London Stadium.

With more business expected at West Ham this month, it would be negligent to trust Steidten to invest whatever remains of the transfer kitty wisely given his torrid track record.
The Irons faithful have been crying out for change for months, and finally, the calls have been answered, with Sullivan preparing to run the rule on the current hierarchy in a desperate bid to salvage what remains of the season.
