Julen Lopetegui and Mohammed Kudus update after West Ham United bust up

ExWHUemployee has reported that the situation between Julen Lopetegui and Mohammed Kudus has been resolved at West Ham United.

The 24-year-old was withdrawn at half-time in the 1-1 draw against Brentford at the GTECH Community Stadium on Saturday [28 September] for tactical reasons with the player reportedly unhappy with the decision.

The reliable source moved to address the concerns on The West Ham Way [1 October] and ensured Hammers fans that the situation had been blown out of proportion.

He said: “The player was unhappy at the time, however, we were trailing and Lopetegui has every right to make changes he feel can help the team – and in the end, we managed to get the equaliser and could have won the match.

“There really is nothing more than a player being unhappy in the moment, and we understand things are fine now as we prepare for the important game against Ipswich at the weekend.”

Mohammed Kudus ready to go again for West Ham United

No top footballer is ever happy coming off the pitch especially if they feel they can impact the match, Kudus’ disappointment is merely a testament to his passion for West Ham.

However, the Ghanian forward has struggled to get going under Lopetegui after a stellar maiden campaign in the Premier League last term and, his form is becoming a cause for concern in East London.

He is not the only player underperforming this season with Lucas Paqueta looking a shadow of his former self and even Jarrod Bowen enduring mixed performances.

The Irons are undoubtedly at their best when Kudus is firing on all cylinders at the London Stadium yet, there are question marks wherein the forward fits within Lopetegui’s system, with his appearances on either flank yielding similar results.

The Hammers face the perfect opponent for Lopetegui to earn his first win at the London Stadium in Ipswich Town on Saturday [5 October], Kudus should have fun against one of the weakest defensive sides in the division.

Anything less than three points on Saturday and Lopetegui will not be able to escape the wrath of the West Ham faithful, the Spaniard will be counting on his Ghanian talisman to deliver the goods and rediscover his form in the Premier League.
