Journalist shares what ‘absolutely furious’ Dejan Kulusevski did after West Ham United win v Tottenham

Dejan Kulusevski ran straight over to confront referee Michael Salisbury at the end of the West Ham game against Tottenham, according to Ryan Taylor.

The Daily Mirror journalist tweeted on Thursday (7 December) that the Swedish international “lost his rag” and was “absolutely furious” with the official after seeing his side lose 2-1 to the Hammers.

He added that the 23-year-old had to be “held back” by Destiny Udogie as well as some of his other Spurs teammates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“Dejan Kulusevski has just lost his rag at full-time here,” said Taylor. “Bolted straight for referee Michael Salisbury. Had to be held back by Destiny Udogie and other teammates. Swede is absolutely furious.”

Strange

It was an incredibly strange situation to see Kulusevski run up to the referee in such an angry manner after the final whistle had blown.

While he is believed to have been caught by a stray elbow from West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta, if the incident was really that bad, then VAR would have surely intervened.

The fact of the matter is, you can’t approach a referee in such an aggressive manner like that as the winger was handed a yellow card for his antics.

West Ham

He is perhaps lucky that it was at the end of the game, otherwise, he could have received his marching orders for his behaviour.

It was likely the disappointment of the occasion that was really behind his response as we secured an incredible victory courtesy of second-half goals from Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse.

In other West Ham news, a journalist has shared why a Premier League side are considering selling a Hammers-linked player.
