“Jordan Miles has joined Aberdeen Football Club as our new Head of Recruitment,” according to the official Aberdeen website.

“Jordan, previously Head of Recruitment Analysis at English Premier League club West Ham United, joins the Dons following a thorough process designed to ensure the appointment aligned with our continued overarching football strategy.”

Blow for the Hammers

West Ham definitely need a top recruitment strategy in place this summer ahead of what is another huge season for the club.

Not only will they be keen to enjoy a better Premier League campaign than last time, but European football is once again on the line, this time in the more advanced Europa League.

Tim Steidten has been brought in by the Hammers as technical director, but no new signings have been made under his watch, with the new season rapidly approaching.

The likes of Declan Rice and Manuel Lanzini have left the London Stadium, and the club now need to think about new faces that can improve David Moyes’s chances of succeeding in all competitions.

The loss of Miles will be a blow in this respect, with Hammers fans hopeful that a replacement can be brought in as soon as possible.

Aberdeen meanwhile are getting an experienced figure, one who is definitely capable of taking the Scottish side forward in the coming years.

In other West Ham news, an agent has mooted a Hammers move for one Champions League winner, with a deal there to be done.
