Jonathan Shrager reveals that West Ham have not made a bid for Jesse Lingard yet
Jonathan Shrager, a Twitter verified journalist with over 60,000 followers, has revealed on his account that West Ham have yet to make an opening offer for Jesse Lingard.
He claims that the Hammers are still very interested but have not yet made an opening offer for the 28-year-old. He then claims that the Irons “are continuing to monitor the situation.
This tweet follows on from a report from Sky Sports claiming that the Hammers have a very low chance of bringing the England international to east London this summer.
Lingard to West Ham finished?
The fact that the club haven’t even made a bid for Lingard yet is beyond baffling. Surely he should have been the first player they signed after his incredible loan spell last season?
Of course, the player was undecided as well, which was also strange; he was the main man under David Moyes and thrived. He will now probably go back to being a bit-part player at best after the arrival of Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.

Ultimately, this should have been an easy deal to do, but the fault lies with Lingard for not deciding his future and also with the club for not even putting an offer in.
We will have to see what happens next, but Lingard doesn’t look like he will be joining the Hammers this summer.
Attention now has to turn to other targets, or West Ham could be left a bit short for the upcoming season.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are keen on signing the “new Kaka”.
