Joe Cole delivers verdict on Declan Rice’s West Ham future
Joe Cole has suggested that West Ham midfielder Declan Rice will be facing a tough decision on his future.
Rice has been phenomenal for the Hammers this season and has not allowed transfer talk to disturb his focus for the club.
Cole feels that Rice would love to play in the Champions League next season and that his future could be up in the air.

Cole said on BT Sport (19 February): “Is he going to achieve that West Ham? It’s incredible. They have got a hell of an opportunity at the moment.
“His future will be undecided. That’s for sure.”
Top four
Cole is spot on here.
Finishing fourth in the table this season is so crucial for the Hammers.
Yes, they were fighting for survival just two years ago, and if we compare now, it’s been a huge improvement.
The club is progressing and they should be aiming to play in Europe’s premier competitions.
That’s why it is important to keep hold of Rice who is sharing similar ambitions.

He wants to play in the Champions League and fight for the league titles. He doesn’t want to leave the club, but at the same time, wants to see the club showing some ambition.
Rice has rejected two contract offers already, but David Moyes is pretty relaxed with his situation.
He still has years left on his current deal at the club, and the Hammers are expected to demand a ridiculous transfer fee for him if they at all decide to let him go.
