Jim White takes snide dig at West Ham fans in response to Simon Jordan comment
West Ham United have endured a bitterly disappointing season as they sit 16th in the Premier League.
David Moyes departed the club at the end of last season, with West Ham wanting to take the next step and advance further up the table.
This did not happen, with Julen Lopetegui dismissed midway through the season, and Graham Potter was chosen to replace him.
West Ham’s results have not improved much since, as Potter aims to instil his identity into the club, and he has now been criticised in the media.

Potter criticised amid lack of West Ham impact
Speaking on talkSPORT (10 April), pundit Jim White pointed out the lack of progress West Ham have made since Moyes left and Potter arrived, calling out the fans who demanded change.
“They got what they wished for,” he stated of West Ham fans.
Pundit Simon Jordan had questioned Potter’s credentials as a candidate to take West Ham to a different level, given that he has not done that before in the Premier League.

“Well, I think he’s obviously a very capable manager. But I think his reputation is bigger than his deeds,” Jordan pointed out.
“I mean, he built a decent side at Brighton that finished 16th and 15th and then 9th under his time — and then [Roberto] De Zerbi took Brighton on to a different level.”

Potter has been handed tough job
West Ham’s squad building, and the few months under Lopetegui set the club back, and it meant that whoever replaced the Spaniard would have an extremely difficult task in the short term.
This means that while Potter’s start to life has been fairly unimpressive, there is a ceiling on what he can possibly achieve in these initial few months.
Potter may find his budget limited in the summer window, but from next season there will need to be an improvement in performances and results to ease the pressure on him.
There is little to play for but pride for the remainder of this campaign, and it is a good chance for Potter to start building towards what his ideal team may look like for next year.
