Jim White: No chance of Declan Rice leaving West Ham in January

Jim White has insisted that there is no chance of Declan Rice leaving West Ham United in the January transfer window.

The England international has been consistently linked with moves to the Premier League top-four clubs, but no movement has been made.

White teased some fresh Rice news live-on-air this morning, before urging Hammers fans not to panic over a potential exit – something that would take £200million or more this month.

Speaking live on talkSPORT this morning (11 January), White hinted at a feature based on Rice on the show.

“Some interesting news on Declan Rice,” he said.

“West Ham fans, don’t panic, he’s not going anywhere, not in this window, that is for sure.

“It was made clear to me, they wouldn’t sell Rice in this window, not for £120million, not for £150million – it’s my understanding, I’m being serious, it would need to start with a two.

“We’re talking north of £200million.”

No chance.

We have been here before, and we will continue to be in this position for many years to come with Rice.

Until a new contract is agreed upon, nothing can ever be concrete regarding the future of our skipper in the Premier League.

With European success delivered back to the London Stadium under David Moyes, there is every chance that could happen.

Rice is playing every single week in every competition, he couldn’t get it any better at any other club and he knows that.

A new contract has to be handed out, with Daniel Kretinsky and GSB simply having to hand the maestro a blank cheque to fill in the gap.

Get it done, he’s going nowhere.
