Jesse Lingard shares image of himself at Rush Green amid West Ham United transfer speculation
Jesse Lingard has shared an image of himself in the Rush Green dressing room amid links to a move to West Ham this summer.
The England international is a free agent after he left Nottingham Forest so he does not have to be signed before the 11pm deadline on Friday (1 September).
Sky Sports, in their Transfer Centre blog on 30 August [09:48] reported that the Hammers will accelerate their pursuit of the 30-year-old next week.
On his way?
The image shared above is clearly a new one and at Rush Green as the Edson Alvarez locker is visible in the image just adjacent to Lingard’s.
It’s evident that he wants a new club this summer and with nobody showing an interest in him, a return to the London Stadium may be on the cards.
David Moyes likes him and Lingard arguably played his best football under him in that four-month spell where he seemed to be scoring goals for fun.

Signing someone on a free transfer comes with very little risk and that’s an area of the pitch that the Hammers desperately need to strengthen.
Even if Filip Kostic arrives, Lingard can always be used on the right or even as a number 10 as he’s a versatile player willing to play different roles.
It remains to be seen if the 30-year-old does end up joining the Hammers in the coming days.
In other West Ham news, the club have now opened advanced talks with a Premier League player who appears to be open to leaving his side this summer.
