Jeff Stelling stunned by West Ham United forward Michail Antonio v Lyon
Jeff Stelling was left stunned by West Ham United forward Michail Antonio after the huge win over Lyon last night.
The Sky Sports presenter reacted after the Irons smashed the French side 3-0 to cruise into the Europa League semi-finals.
Antonio didn’t find the back of the net on the night, but he was a constant thorn in the side of the Lyon defence.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Stelling singled out the Jamaican international for his role in the clash.
“What a centre forwards performance from Michail Antonio,” he wrote.
“Didn’t score but simply wonderful. West Ham outstanding.”
Amazing.
This is exactly what we want to see from Antonio on the biggest stage.
He himself even admitted that he is not happy with his goal drought at the London Stadium, but he is doing the hard yards outside of that.
David Moyes will be simply blown away by what he has seen from the Jamaican, who continues to catch the eye every single week.
Putting in those hard yards will bring him the luck he desires so much in front of goal, and hopefully, he finds the back of the net sooner rather than later.
These are the nights we were all dying to see, and a mouthwatering semi-final against Eintracht Frankfurt is now coming.
