Jeff Stelling reacts to images live on Sky Sports of West Ham United fans before Crystal Palace clash
Jeff Stelling has shared his reaction to images coming out of the West Ham United clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday (29 April).
David Moyes’ side were set to start their clash on Saturday at 12:30, but scenes outside the London-based ground meant the match was delayed.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (29 April), Stelling reacted to images of thousands of fans lining the streets outside the stadium, which meant the matches start was delayed.

“By the way, I’ve just seen pictures from Crystal Palace and this game is not going to start at 12:45pm,” he said [12:30].
“There’s nobody in the ground or hardly anyone in the ground and there are thousands and thousands and thousands in the streets around Selhurst Park.
“They just won’t be able to get everybody in.”

Chaos
There was no chance whatsoever that this match against Roy Hodgson’s side was ever going to start on time, with barely any fans even managing to make it within the stadium in time for the original kick-off time.
This kind of disturbance at matches has been happening far too often in recent times, and how clubs can’t manage to make life easier for fans is ridiculous.
Matchday traffic and the thousands of people travelling to matches in London is always going to be hard to navigate, but clubs simply need to get more people in place to aid their arrivals and get them into the stadium on time.
The clash against the Eagles is a huge game for Moyes’ side, with a win likely to rid any chances of relegation from the Premier League this season.
At the moment, the Hammers are just about within reach of the bottom three, but a win can allow the club to turn their attention to their upcoming Europa Conference League semi-final.
