Jeff Stelling predicts West Ham clash v Southampton

Jeff Stelling has backed West Ham United to return to winning ways against Southampton this weekend.

The Irons return to Premier League action at St Mary’s after the international break looking to bounce back from the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

Stelling has predicted that it will finish 3-2 to the Irons in an absolute thriller on Saturday down on the south coast.

The Irons are looking to remain unbeaten after a cracking start to the season and will be hoping that the Palace clash was just a blip.

Sharing on Super 6, Stelling has made his score prediction that every Irons fan would take if it was offered right now.

Goal fest.

This will be the first time we see all of the new summer signings come into the squad and try and make a name for themselves.

Kurt Zouma, Alex Kral and Nikola Vlasic will all be available, and add some serious depth to David Moyes’ squad.

The Frenchman is the most probable to start, and conceding two won’t be on his mind, regardless of whether the Irons collect three points or not.

Moyes will want more defensive stability too after that draw with Palace, and that will get us back on track.

Three points are all that matter at this stage of the Premier League season, but Moyes will be wanting the performance to go alongside that with European football on the horizon.
