Jarrod Bowen statue mooted as new West Ham United footage emerges after draw v Fulham

Tom Rennie has suggested that Jarrod Bowen is now a statue level player for West Ham United after new footage emerged of the clash with Fulham.

Julen Lopetegui’s side came from behind to pick up a valuable point at Craven Cottage on Saturday (14 September) thanks to a late goal from the Hammers’ second-half substitute Danny Ings.

Although the forward received plenty of credit for his finish, talkSPORT broadcaster Rennie was quick to heap praise on Bowen for his passion after the equaliser, suggesting he now deserves a statue in East London.

Writing on X on Sunday (15 September) he said: “Bowen is a statue level player for this club.”

Will Jarrod Bowen exit West Ham amid transfer rumours?

Bowen just gets what it means to play for West Ham. Not only is he an excellent player and one of the Hammers’ most important attackers currently, his passion for the club and desire to win is so clear to see.

The England international is already a modern-day legend having scored that Europa Conference League final goal in Prague, but he is only becoming more popular with supporters with each passing week because of his passionate displays.

While some may question some of Lopetegui’s transfer decisions this summer, the former Real Madrid boss’ call to hand Bowen the captain’s armband following Kurt Zouma’s departure appears to have been a masterstroke.

Hopefully, the attacker will maintain this form for the remainder of the season. While the Irons have had a tough run of fixtures to start the season, they’ll know that they could do with a few more points on the board sooner rather than later.

There is still plenty of football to be played over the coming weeks and moths and there is still a genuine chance that Bowen could be the man to lead the Irons into Europe next term.
